“Since his arrest in May 2022 on RICO charges, Young Thug has remained behind bars. However, he’s still connected to the pulse of the current Hip Hop scene, thanks to updates from his girlfriend Mariah the Scientist, who shares insights and plays him music during their phone calls. Mariah discussed this in a recent interview with Billboard.
“I share everything with him,” she revealed. “Maybe even too much. I even play him the [diss] tracks over the phone. He’s a true music enthusiast. He appreciates all genres and artists. I don’t think he’d ever lose that passion – but I won’t speak for him. Music is his world.”
“He finds it intriguing, definitely,” Mariah continued. “We listened to some of the songs. Not all, because it’s become overwhelming. Initially, I’d update him on the ongoing drama. I played him a snippet. Both artists are talented. While the competitive nature of the industry is undeniable, it fuels creativity and keeps things interesting.”
