Joe Rogan suggests that Jake Paul might be feeling apprehensive after hearing Mike Tyson’s pre-fight comments.
The heavyweight legend and the YouTuber-turned-boxer are set to clash in a controversial showdown on July 20 in Texas.
Tyson’s revelation about consuming raw meat as part of his training regimen for his first professional fight in over two decades has caught attention. UFC commentator Rogan believes this declaration alone could intimidate Paul even before they step into the ring.
Rogan shared on his podcast: “He goes, ‘I just eat raw meat. I’m eating raw meat.’ He goes, ‘You’re eating raw meat?’ He goes, ‘Yeah, I’m eating raw meat.’ He goes, ‘Because that’s what I’m going to eat when I fight. I’m going to eat him, just raw meat.'”
He added, “Jesus Christ, he’s in this fing mode. He’s in that God of war mode. Bro, he’s in savage mode. If I was Jake Paul right now, I would be s*ing my pants.”
In preparation for his return to boxing, Tyson has imposed strict discipline on himself, including abstaining from sex and marijuana. However, his choice to consume raw meat has raised eyebrows.
During his prime, Tyson consumed up to 4,000 calories daily, including steak, pasta, chicken, rice, and fruits. He used to fight at 220lb (15st 7lb) during his heavyweight reign.
In contrast, Paul has fluctuated in weight but aims to bulk up significantly for the upcoming fight, planning to reach 240lb (17st 1lb) in training. This would be a substantial increase from his weight in previous bouts.
