Anthony Joshua recently ranked heavyweight boxing champions, omitting Tyson Fury from the top tier of past champions.
In anticipation of his upcoming bout against Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on March 8, Joshua has been assessing the historical hierarchy of the division to bolster his own aspirations for another world title shot.
As a two-time world champion himself, Joshua hopes to secure a chance to face the victor of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk.
Asked to categorize heavyweight fighters into five groups ranging from GOAT [greatest of all time] to sparring partner, Joshua placed seven competitors in the GOAT category, with others ranked in tiers ranging from champion to mid-level.
