Mike Tyson is currently training in a state-of-the-art new gym in Las Vegas ahead of his upcoming fight with Jake Paul.
The heavyweight icon and the YouTuber-turned-boxer are set to collide in a controversial clash on July 20 in Texas.
Tyson’s new gym, designed by his wife Lakiha, is located on a property owned by Las Vegas Raiders boss Mark Davis, near the Raiders’ training headquarters in Henderson, Nevada.
Tyson is preparing for his first professional fight in almost 20 years with MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro.
The gym, a scaled-down version of the boxing club Tyson owns in Saudi Arabia, was designed by Lakiha Tyson herself.
Mark Davis and his team have been instrumental in assisting Tyson’s team with the necessary resources to build the gym according to Tyson’s vision.
Tyson’s last appearance in the ring was a 2020 exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr., which ended in a draw.
His official boxing career ended in 2005 after defeats to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.
However, Tyson is now gearing up for his bout with Paul, which will be officially sanctioned with revised rules, including the use of bigger 14oz gloves and eight two-minute rounds instead of the usual three.
Jake Paul, with a record of 9-1, suffered his only defeat to Tyson Fury’s brother, Tommy Fury, in Saudi Arabia last year.
The American, 27, has since won three times and is preparing for his first heavyweight fight against Tyson.
