Jimmy Carter’s grandson has come out with an update on his grandfather’s condition nearly a year and a half after he entered hospice care… and it confirms what we suspected.

Former President Jimmy Carter has been in hospice care for some time, but he gathered the strength to attend the funeral and memorial service of his wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Carter, who passed away at 96 on November 19, 2023.

During her final hours, Jimmy was by her side. His son said he asked for some time alone with her, their beds placed side by side, to talk.

The funeral took place at Maranatha Baptist Church, where the Carters worshipped. Earlier tributes were held in Americus and Atlanta.

Arriving in a wheelchair, Jimmy wore a black suit and a blanket bearing their faces in her honor.

Sadly, Jimmy’s health is deteriorating. His grandson, Jason Carter, shared that the former President may not have much time left.

Rosalynn was Jimmy’s equal partner. “Rosalynn was my equal partner in everything I ever accomplished,” Jimmy said. “She gave me wise guidance and encouragement when I needed it.”

With Rosalynn gone, there’s concern for Jimmy’s condition. “He’s coming to the end, and he’s very, very physically diminished,” Jason Carter said.\
