Mike Tyson, 57, sparks concern from fans with bizarre training clip – as his ex-trainer dubs him a ‘unicorn’

A viral moment featuring boxer Mike Tyson has sparked concerns among fans as he gears up for a bout against Jake Paul in the coming months. Tyson’s running style in a video captioned ‘I’m coming for you’ raised questions about the former heavyweight champion’s current health and physical condition. However, Tyson’s former trainer, Brad Rowe, assured USA Today Sports that there’s no cause for alarm regarding Tyson’s well-being. “Mike is a unique individual,” Rowe remarked. “He may appear stiff and uncoordinated in certain aspects of training, but once he steps into the ring, he transforms into a graceful athlete. It’s quite remarkable.”

Rowe reminisced about the beginning of Tyson’s training regimen leading up to his 2020 fight with Roy Jones Jr. He expressed concern that Tyson might injure his hamstring due to the intensity of his workouts. “On the first day, he insisted on sprinting,” Rowe recalled. “I was worried about potential injuries, especially given his age and lack of familiarity with explosive movements.” Tyson, who is preparing for his first competitive match in a while against Jake Paul on July 20, has been dedicating himself to training diligently.

However, Tyson has also been focusing on expanding his cannabis business in the lead-up to the fight. In an exclusive interview with The New York Post in 2022, Tyson revealed his frustrations with the boxing industry, citing shady dealings and hidden agendas. “The problem with boxing is the lack of transparency,” Tyson lamented. “There’s always something going on behind the scenes. Until we address this issue, boxing will remain chaotic, and only a select few will profit.”
