“Mike Tyson’s Discipline for Jake Paul Fight: No Distractions for Weeks”

Mike Tyson recently revealed that his current period of abstinence is part of his disciplined preparation for his upcoming fight with Jake Paul.

Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, is rigorously preparing for his July 20 bout against Jake Paul.

In a videotaped interview with Forbes Life, he stated, “For probably six weeks I haven’t engaged in any activities that could distract from my training.”

In training for the fight, Tyson has been throwing furious punches and adhering to strict discipline.

The 58-year-old noted that avoiding certain activities is essential for his preparation to arrive in peak condition for the fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“I’m living my life in a disciplined way now, so now I’m going to have to fight disciplined,” he commented.

During an interview on The Damon Elliott Show, Tyson downplayed the duration of his abstinence, saying, “I’ve been staying focused and avoiding distractions for two and a half weeks now.”

Tyson previously mentioned in 2018 that he had made similar sacrifices to become a better boxer.

These measures are part of the regulations for the Paul fight, as certain activities are restricted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which oversees combat sports in Texas.

Consequently, Tyson could face penalties if he doesn’t comply before the bout.

The upcoming fight has generated significant buzz. Tyson remarked recently, “Everybody, even most athletes, is jealous of me, it’s crazy…

Even in the best of times, you couldn’t draw a million people, you couldn’t sell out a stadium. Who at 58 could sell out an 80,000-seat stadium? Why do you think he [Jake Paul] wants to fight me and not anybody else?”
