Due to health concerns, the anticipated boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, initially scheduled for July 20, has been postponed.
Stepping up to fill the void, Jake’s older brother Logan Paul, a WWE superstar and former celebrity boxer, has thrown his hat into the ring.
On Twitter, Logan issued the challenge to his younger brother, accompanied by a throwback picture of them, suggesting they settle the score once and for all.
Jake responded enthusiastically, proposing a unique consequence for the loser: changing their last name.
The decision to postpone the match was announced by Most Valuable Promotions, citing Tyson’s recent health issues.
Tyson, grappling with an ulcer flare-up, was advised to ease off training for a few weeks for recovery. Both Tyson and Jake agreed to reschedule to ensure equal preparation time.
Expressing support for the postponement, Jake emphasized his readiness to face Tyson at his best.
Tyson, while acknowledging the setback, vowed to return stronger and deliver an unforgettable performance.
The new date for the fight, expected to take place at AT&T Stadium, will be disclosed by June 7th.
Ticket holders are assured their tickets will be valid for the rescheduled event, with refund options available for those unable to attend.
Originally slated as Tyson’s comeback since his 2020 bout against Roy Jones Jr., the match garnered significant anticipation.
Tyson’s recent health scare adds to a history of physical struggles, including bouts with sciatica.
Additionally, the co-main event featuring Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano is also likely to be delayed due to Tyson’s medical situation.
