Why you need to try putting your top sheets on upside down

For many, tidying up the bed can feel like a tiresome task. Even with the basics under our belt, it’s not always a breeze.

Typically, a standard bed setup consists of a fitted sheet, a top sheet, and either a quilt, comforter, or duvet.

While bed-making doesn’t require a master’s degree, a few handy tips can streamline the process. Surprisingly, some folks unknowingly flip their top sheets inside out. Hard to believe, right? Here’s the scoop…

According to Southern Living, the trick is to have the patterned side of the top sheet facing downward. It might seem counterintuitive at first, but when you fold the top sheet over the quilt, comforter, or duvet, it all falls into place. This way, the pattern adds a decorative flair to your bed, visible and inviting.
